Patricia A. Hoin, P.C. Current Work Experience: I am currently in private practice, and have been in private practice since 1991. Since entering private practice I have concentrated my practice primarily in the area of Family Law. I have extensive experience in divorce, child custody disputes, modification of child support and child custody, paternity, legitimation and contempt issues. It has always been my goal in the practice of law to help my clients to resolve their disputes at the earliest opportunity after we have discovered all the necessary facts and information to make a fair and equitable settlement possible. In that respect, I am very excited by the concept of Collaborative Law, as I believe it empowers the participants by involving them in all the steps of their divorce and encourages them to reach a fair settlement with the assistance of the appropriate professionals. I appreciate the ability to call on professionals (such as child specialists, financial consultants, mediators and coaches) when the parties and their attorneys determine a need, rather than having to go through the lengthy process of obtaining court approval for each step. I feel strongly that the collaborative process is an significant step in facilitating the process of divorce in a cost effective and timely manner. Personal
